May: A month in review

May has most certainly been an exciting month. With most high school and younger finishing up for the summer, one cannot help but breathe in the excitement that is imbued within this time of year. However fun and exciting this time may be,it is also one of stress. People around my age ( high school) and up are feeling the impending doom that is finals. My school personally is smack dap in the middle of finals week as I am posting this.

First, a word of advice to those taking finals right now. Your grades do not define you and your outcome in high school does not dictate how you will succeed in life. Though, I do stress that you study hard and try your best. Frankly, that is all anyone could ever ask of you so if you don’t get a 4.0 ( like anyone really does anyway) don’t stress out too much about it as you will do fine in the end.

Now, about the month as a whole. May is all about the incoming warmth of summer. Sure Spring is most certainly warm but this summer warmth has a much different feel to it. May is all about transitioning from the new blossoms and heading into the fun and excitement that summer brings. May brings new relationships, friendships, and adventures; however, summer brings on a whole aura of excitement that allows those things to truly bloom.

In conclusion, use the incoming thrill of summer to get over the stress of May. Don’t become lazy, but use this newfound feeling to strengthen your resolve. Summer is all about spending time with the ones you love. I know I will be spending a lot of time with those close to me and help bring life to a new relationship I have been given. As they say
